1. A Case F.I.R. No. 9/11 Dt. 10-1-11 U/S 20,29 ND&PS Act has been registered in P.S. Kullu against two persons namely Jeet Ram S/O Lot Ram R/O Thati Dhar P.O. Hurla Distt. Kullu and his Second wife Smt. Bhima Kali during Naka at Sarsadi at about 8.25 PM, when both were coming from Sarsadi side on their motor cycle No. HP34B-2448.The Police party stopped them and during checking 2.200 Kgs Charas has been recovered from the possession of above Jeet Ram and the same time his wife ran away from the spot.
2. Two cases U/S 283 IPC has been registered on 10-1-11 in P.S. Manali against two persons namely Mazoor Hussan S/O Abdul Latif R/O Jatehar Bihali P.O. Katrain and Bhim Chand S/O Uttam Chand VPO Katrain Distt. Kullu, when they were obstruction the public path and NH-21 with their rehari and Fari at Patlikuhal.

Thank god! Also, Kullu police, to bear down the charas smuggling in Dev Bhumi. Countless arrests in 2010-11. Unbelievable, where these ppl manage to grow this much cannabis. It’s OK that many accused have some painful stories behind this crime, as in case of Lag valley guy (up-pradhan candidate in panchayat elections) who was ferrying charas only to bear the election expenses hahaha... There are many who dream of being millionaire overnight. And there are many who supports the charas sale as they believe it would only bring Rs and Dollars to district without harming local generation b’coz they are selling it to outsiders, not locals. But they never thought of the current status of our generation. No surprise if teacher recovers charas and cigarette frm the possession of a 12-year-old school going child. It has become a tradition to serve guests with charas, desi liquor, ganja or other drugs in Kullu valley. Yes, I am a local resident but can’t express sorrow to anyone, other than my own conscience. A subject of great concern… If son brings lakhs by selling out charas, his parents will definitely applause him. The same way, the day will come whn the same son will bring a sack full of 500 rs notes by stabbing sm1 and his parents will hav no rights to show him the right path… Samjho Kullu Walon, Samjho… Soon I’m gonna marry and I will nt let my children to play with my own Kullu residents, I fear they would learn the same techniques that I always resisted.
Whenever my friends from outside the state visit my place asks to arrange the Malana cream. I feel so bad that they appreciate the beauty of Kullu-Manali after mentioning the charas.
I’m a proud resident of Dev Bhumi Kullu but a shameless citizen of charas heaven.
